It is very important for parents and teachers to stay connected to their children, wards and students respectively.

Curbing bullying will be effectively achieved when Parents, Teachers and other Stakeholders working with pupils, students and youths work together:

  • Do you know that some bullies are classified as homegrown because they come from problematic homes where he/she was bullied?

  • Do you know that some bully others because they lack attention, affection and approval?

  • Do you know that inconsistent discipline at home can motivate a child to bully others?

  • Do you know that bullies will not stop their behaviour unless they lose their circle of support or face consequences for their actions?

  • Do you know that effects of bullying include low performance academically or in career later in life?

  • Do you know when your child/ward wants to confide in you?

  • Does your child have panick attacks, is he/she always anxious, fearful, depressed or pessimistic?

  • Do you want to help drive the change in our institutions and communities in curbing bullying?

Hi there,

Bullying is not normal and we must not see it as so.

How connected are you to your child/ward or student?

Do you know if he/she is a bully or being bullied?

Do you give him/her the assurance that you will support them if they confide in you when bullied or do you just ignore them and call them weaklings?

Help build a healthy environment not the other way round!

Confidence which a child needs to face the future is borne out of love and affection and not out of neglection!
